my weekend

Hello Lizzy here , the occasional blog poster.
Here is my shot of what I did to the bed as a fathers day present for chris,
he didn't get the artisty and called me a "hairy plonker",
I said "philistine" and ran for the hills
Here is me hiding in the garden, note well
practiced sad look - gets him every time -
hand over the cat food and all will be forgiven.

Mice "one" cats "nil"

I don't know what that mouse was
thinking , OK I run up the leaf and hide , yes good plan ...not
Shortly before the "drop the camera
and release the mouse" moment .

Wednesday, January 16

Lizzy talks about the relative merits of mice over ducks in a non-PC moment

Mice are a snack but there are more mice than ducks
Mice have a better meat to roughage index than ducks
Mice can be good toy
Mice do not poo all around the house like ducks
Mice are soft and warm, ducks are related to crocodiles
Mice are easier to get through a cat door than a duck

but

Mice are small and can disappear under furniture but ducks can’t hide
Mice are a snack but ducks are a banquet
Ducks are more of a challenge
Some ducks have BIG brothers but a big mice are still a snack
Did I mention that mice are a snack

Lizzy the infrequent blogger here.

Chris made me write this because he says compared to Bob I am a very poor blogger but I say what more important , sleeping or blogging ? No contest !

Anyway the other day I brought Chris a duck from next door so he could be entertained over breakfast. I’m not sure why I didn’t eat it but it just seemed so funny waddling around the house leaving little duck poo piles on the carpet.
Maybe I couldn’t eat it because I was laughing so much. Anyway Chris and Reena after some difficulty trapped the duck in a big cardboard box and took it next door to be reunited with its family.

That night I returned with a bunny, I haven’t found one for ages because me and Bob ate them all . However before I could dispatch it and later puke its innards all over the bathroom floor Chris grabbed it and took it outside and yelled “run bunny run” , yeah right like I won’t be able to find it later ….

Lizzy on Sunday

Hi Lizzy here

Ok I realise this is a bit irreverent but I’ve discovered that Bobs cross makes a good chin scratching post, I can always say I’m visiting the grave .

Chris , Reena and I would like to thank Riley and Tiki (great site by the way ) , Riker, The Ashton Family, Trevor , Shelby and Crystal for the comforting notes they left on my blog (Note how I’m calling it MY blog , Chris always says I was a bit shallower than Bob !!! ) .

I’m going to do my best to keep up the tradition of blogging my weirder moments although I should warn you now that extending on from the Ocilympics I’ve developed “Power Sleeping” to an art form .

Bobs last adventure by Lizzy

Hi Lizzy here , I guess Bobs loyal followers will have noticed a rather long gap in my sisters blog posting , this has been due to my needing to learn to type.
Unfortunately Bob ever the one to push the boundaries as an ace stunt cat used up the last of her nine lives five weeks ago more than a kilometre from home in a spectacular attempt to break the bottom of the big valley to home speed record . This trek involved crossing a large paddock with fifty four Alpacas , a paddock with geese and ducks, followed by a road and 200 meters of mushy swamp. I don’t think I need to say which part of this journey proved the most hazardous and ultimately fatal .
After Chris found her we put her in the pet cemetery under our Red Oak tree with the other rather more long lived furry family members , Kate the Dog (15), Doris (16), Ethel (18) , Randell (19) and a couple of fish that didn’t make it when we rebuilt the fish pond.
We were all pretty crushed at the time but we are feeling better now.
